Customer Terms and Conditions for TECHNOCASH Vouchers issued by Technocash Inc  

Buy online using Internet banking - terms and conditions

TECHNOCASH Vouchers ('Vouchers') are intended to be used for payments on the Internet. This service is low cost, uncomplicated and bound by aspects of the law. TECHNOCASH Vouchers are non-refundable and non-rechargeable. Technocash Pty Ltd does not identify the owner of TECHNOCASH Vouchers and allows the Vouchers to be freely transferred.

Expiry of TECHNOCASH Vouchers:

TECHNOCASH Vouchers have a long ‘use by’ date. The use by date is random and is from two years to three years from the date of purchase of the electronically delivered Vouchers or from the date of printing for Voucher formats.

Availability to begin transactions:

While some TECHNOCASH Vouchers are immediately available for transactions others cannot be used until the next business day following purchase. You are able to check your Voucher balance immediately but it may be zero dollars until Technocash has been notified of the sale of your Voucher. See separate section below for Buying TECHNOCASH online.

Because USA banking can rescind e-checks after they are deposited into to our Bank, we reserve the right to withhold the issuing of the TECHNOCASH Voucher for a period of up to 7 days. This is to ensure that our system only ever contains cleared funds.

Damaged security panels:

If you are obtaining Vouchers with security panels, make sure the removable panels are not damaged. Do not purchase TECHNOCASH Vouchers with damaged removable panels. The TechnoCode and the Expiry-Date and or Expiry-Time may have been seen.

Purchasing Goods:

When purchasing with TECHNOCASH Vouchers, customers must quote the TechnoCode and expiry details. If these details are correct, the customer will be allowed to complete the purchase transaction. Purchases can be made by entering multiple TECHNOCASH Vouchers. Where multiple Vouchers are used, the first one submitted from a sequence will usually have its full value expunged and the last one submitted will usually have only that part of its value expunged that is necessary to complete the balance of the purchase.

TECHNOCASH Vouchers' transaction histories (which are similar to bank statements) will remain live on the Technocash website for 6 months, or 30 days after the end of a financial year, following the last or final transaction. No history will be available for unused TECHNOCASH Vouchers after they have expired.

Specific TECHNOCASH features:

    • The website contains information on all the additional features of TECHNOCASH Vouchers. Please remember that some features are only available when logged into a BillFold. These include:

      • Splits - The minimum ‘Split’ in value to create a new TECHNOCASH is $1.00. Subsequent splits will have increasing limits in that the minimum doubles each split until it reaches the $18 lower purchase limit.
      • Combine - The maximum value for a TECHNOCASH Voucher using the ‘Combine’ feature is $1000. You can spend any amount, as per the etailers invoice/total, as many times as you like with a single TECHNOCASH Voucher, up to the combined amount.
      • Password - As a security measure we offer you a password option for your TECHNOCASH Voucher. The password feature is an optional service. The ability to apply a password is provided, and users are responsible for the security of their own password. The password is like a PIN number, only known to you. A customer has the ability to establish a password protected TECHNOCASH account and also to specify that a certain site or sites don't need a password. In such situations no password is required for the person making the purchase as it is at a pre-authorised merchant site. For example, a Grandmother could buy a $50 TECHNOCASH Voucher for her grandson that is protected by a password (which she doesn't give to him) and specify that the Voucher could be spent at a nominated bookshop or toy store. Other than at the nominated bookshop or toystore, all transactions will still need to quote the password. If the password is lost then access to the monetary unit may be lost. The first level of assistance is to use the "Lost Password" features where you answer the question to the challenging phrase.
        "Reissue" - Reissuing is available at the user's request and changes the TechnoCode, Expiry-Date and Expiry-Time of a TECHNOCASH Voucher. This service may carry a fee. The user will be advised of this before proceeding. The reissue facility may incur fees to discourage excessive reissuing of the same monetary unit. At the time of reissue a notice will be given if the next reissue will incur a fee and what value that may be. TECHNOCASH Vouchers can be reissued by you at the TECHNOCASH website.
      • Exclusive Shopping - TECHNOCASH Vouchers can be manipulated so that purchases using a given Voucher can only be made from one merchant or a class of merchants. This does not require a password. If a password is active then the choice of merchants cannot be changed or undone without using the password. It will be possible to see which merchants a Voucher is limited to by a search on the website. This can be found through the 'Use TECHNOCASH' button on the home page by following the 'Voucher Center' link.
      • Gift versions - Using forms with varying features and stated costs for Gift TECHNOCASH Voucher additional services will be made available. Technocash Inc will not be liable for any loss or subsequent claims as to delivery problems by merchants or any third parties as nominated at the time of purchase.

Merchant Transaction: Technocash Inc through the use of TECHNOCASH Vouchers is only involved in the payment for goods and services ordered by a customer from a merchant. Thus the customer agrees not to involve Technocash Pty Ltd in any dispute between the customer and the merchant.

Merchant Refunds on non-delivery:

If a merchant is unable to fill their order, they will be required to reimburse you, the customer, for the outstanding amount. The process for re-imbursement is agreed upon by the merchant and/or the customer. If the re-imbursement is to be made in TECHNOCASH Voucher/s then it can be a reinstatement of the original monies in the Voucher used for the purchase, or the merchant can purchase TECHNOCASH Voucher/s and supply it to the customer. It is the merchant's responsibility to notify Technocash Inc of any unspent funds which need to be reinstated to the original TECHNOCASH Voucher. Unspent merchant amounts after 90 days will be reinstated to the original TECHNOCASH Voucher units.

International Currencies:

TECHNOCASH Vouchers are sold in the currency of the country of the issuing store's location. TECHNOCASH Vouchers may be converted to other currencies for a fee. These fees are at the discretion of Technocash Inc and will be shown to the customer prior to proceeding. This currency conversion fee is usually a fixed cost comparable to what other payment systems charge. When the TECHNOCASH Voucher has been converted to the currency of your choice you can purchase goods and services online in the same manner as with your home currency. You will be given the opportunity to exit the conversion without incurring fees.

Technocash Pty Ltd reserves the right to standardize the exchange rates, based on the ebb and flow of monies between the various countries in the trading accounts used to operate the TECHNOCASH system.

Privacy:

No personal information is required to use TECHNOCASH monetary units.
Each TECHNOCASH Voucher transaction is logged, forming part of a viewable mini-account for that TECHNOCASH Voucher. You can access this transaction information through the ‘Use TECHNOCASH’- ‘Check TECHNOCASH’ feature on our web page. This way, users can print and keep a record of their TECHNOCASH spending. To access this transaction history you need the TECHNOCASH Voucher details only. NO personal details are required.

Not liable for Consequential Damages:

We are not liable for any damages, or consequential losses by inadvertent data corruption on your computer.

Attempts to re-instate lost TECHNOCASH:

We will do our best to re-instate your TECHNOCASH Voucher's value in some cases such as where passwords are lost. This might entail an extended waiting period, and we may need to see your original receipt. As TECHNOCASH is anonymous it is extremely difficult to issue any of the Voucher's TechnoCode or Expiry-Date and Expiry-Time information without additional supporting data. Anyone trying to claim ownership of a TECHNOCASH Voucher may be required to provide identification.

Purchase denominations:

Technocash Pty Ltd has a minimum purchase denomination for Australia of $20 depending on the distribution point. The maximum denomination is currently $2000.00

Upper spending limit:

Larger dollar purchases are allowed where you simply quote additional TECHNOCASH amounts until they amount to (or exceed) the purchase amount. Any surplus value is available for subsequent use. No specific upper limit is currently set but Technocash Inc reserves the right to set this limit at its sole discretion.

Individual TECHNOCASH independence:

When TECHNOCASH is split or re-issued, no historical record linking to the previous Voucher is kept. Previous Vouchers are still accessible with the original Password and Number (see below).

Important Warning:

Record and keep safe the TechnoCode, Expiry-Date and Expiry-Time on your TECHNOCASH Voucher, as it is the only method to access the value of your Voucher. Treat it with the same respect as you would treat CASH as it is not refundable.

Additional to "Important Warning"

This important warning is displayed often throughout the purchase, use and spending cycle as ownership of the TECHNOCASH monetary value is deemed to belong to the person who is able to quote the TechnoCode, Expiry-Date and Expiry-Time and as such we restate the need to maintain your access to this information. No expectation or suggestions for where this key information should be stored is or offered or to be implied from these Terms and Conditions as this is the owner's responsibility. We reiterate our warning concerning maintaining your 16-character TechnoCode, Expiry-Date and Expiry-Time, or the associated format used by TECHNOCASH Vouchers supplied via Australia Post outlets. Back-up measures should be taken. TechnoCode and Expiry date and Time can be written down and are thus protected from computer viruses. Also do not forget your password and do not use a simplistic ‘password-prompting phrase'.

Claims:

As TECHNOCASH is anonymous and transferable, we will pay the merchant to a transaction upon first presentation of a correct TechnoCode and Selected Expiry Information. Thus we will not accept any claim for alleged lost or stolen TECHNOCASH Vouchers. Without prejudice and in any event, the maximum amount of any claim is the initial face value of the TECHNOCASH Voucher involved.

Customer's Agreement:

Customers' use of TECHNOCASH is an agreement to abide by these Terms and Conditions with Technocash Inc as amended and posted on the website from time to time.

Additional Terms & Conditions for Buying TECHNOCASH online via Internet Banking Transfer

Online Purchase of TECHNOCASH Internet Banking:

This purchase method allows a customer to purchase TECHNOCASH online by using Internet banking. It is only available if a customer has Internet banking. It involves transferring funds from a customer's bank account to a Technocash bank account by use of a funds transfer option, sometimes called a third party payment option. The exact method of transfer will depend upon the customer's bank's procedures and requirements. Thus Technocash Inc is not responsible for action or lack of action by your bank regarding your Internet banking.

Registration:

We may issue TECHNOCASH by online banking if a customer has registered with us online via our website. (Click here to register now) Registration requires the customer to submit both a Password and its 16-digit alpha-numeric code (we abbreviate this 16-digit code and refer to it as your 'Tcode'). Technocash reserves the right to refuse registration without providing any reasons. The customer also nominates a mode of delivery such as email, post, facsimile or text message to mobile phone. Only one delivery method is chosen. If a customer wants to have the option of another delivery method then another registration is required. The registration details are not checkable or cancellable online. If a customer wishes to change any details such as their phone number then a new registration is required. Registrations are valid if the same password is used with different phone numbers or if the same phone number is used with different passwords. We may cancel a registration if it remains unused for a period of 2 years from either the date of registration or the date of last use.

Purchase of TECHNOCASH:

A customer sends monies to a nominated Technocash Pty Ltd bank account and must include their Password and Tcode as registered in the reference field so that Technocash Inc can identify the registration details and deliver the TECHNOCASH as directed in the registration. Based on this information, a TECHNOCASH Voucher will be generated for the amount transferred less the applicable administration fees and delivery fees as advised by Technocash Inc on our website from time to time. The TECHNOCASH Voucher will be delivered to the customer by the delivery method specified upon registration. Due to bank procedures, Technocash Inc will endeavour to deliver the customer's TECHNOCASH monetary value by 10.00 AM the next day provided the transfer is made within the funds transfer time deadlines set by their bank. If monies are transferred to Technocash with no Password and Tcode details, we will refund the monies to the account that transferred the monies upon being provided appropriate account details by the transferring bank and after deducting a processing fee determined by Technocash Inc and after deducting any bank fees and taxes and government charges. If the Password and Tcode details provided are partially incorrect, Technocash Inc may phone the customer on the phone number submitted with the transfer (if applicable - we assume the number provided is a contact number) or phone number supplied by the customer upon completing any relevant recovery forms from the website. Completed recovery forms will provide details that will allow Technocash Inc to assess the legitimacy of the person submitting the Recovery Form so that in its discretion it may complete the missing details and deliver the TECHNOCASH based on the completed Password and Tcode. Alternatively, Technocash Inc may treat the transfer as if it had no Password and Tcode (as outlined above).

Limitation of Liability:

A customer choosing to use the facility to buy TECHNOCASH online using Internet banking does so upon these Terms and Conditions and thus Technocash Inc will not accept any claim for funds transferred to us if those funds are refunded to the account as notified to us by the appropriate bank or banks or if TECHNOCASH is delivered in accordance with registration directions or if Technocash Inc in it's discretion completes an incomplete Password and Tcode by matching the incomplete Password and Tcode to a previously registered one. Technocash Pty Ltd will not be held responsible for any loss if the TECHNOCASH is intercepted during or after deliver and another person uses the correct password or the medium holding the TECHNOCASH malfunctions.

Security:

The TECHNOCASH Voucher delivered is password-protected and the Password is the one registered by the customer as part of the Password and Tcode. The Password must be used to spend the TECHNOCASH with eligible merchants. The Password is an ordinary password as if added through our website procedures for adding a password to TECHNOCASH and used accordingly. It is the customer's responsibly to keep the Password secure and not to disclose it to anyone else. As the TECHNOCASH is password-protected, if determined by Technocash Inc that there could have been a problem with delivery or upon request by a customer Technocash Pty Ltd will re-deliver the TECHNOCASH as directed in the registration.

Customer's Agreement:

Customers' use of TECHNOCASH is an agreement to abide by these Terms and Conditions with Technocash Inc as amended and posted on the website from time to time.
