How does a TECHNOCASH remittance card work?

You are given a plastic card that is linked to your beneficiary. We use their information that you provide on your application form. You can take the card to any one of over 4000+ Australia Post outlets. Your card is scanned and you pay your remittance in cash or by EFTPOS. The money is then automatically sent to your beneficiary in the Philippines.

You can also use Internet banking to send your remittance to a Technocash bank account. Click here. Use your card barcode or the last 10 digits of your card number as a reference. This reference MUST be included. Top

Are there limits (minimum/maximum) to how much I can remit?

For remittances at Australia Post counters, a minimum of $22 and a maximum of $2000 per remittance applies. However, you can do multiple remittances. With Internet banking, your bank will have daily limits. Please contact your bank to find out what these are. For larger amounts, please use international or local wire transfers. Top

Can I send my beneficiary different currencies?

For delivery cash or cheque to your beneficiary's home only Philippine Pesos are available. If sending your remittance to your beneficiary's bank account, they can receive either Pesos or US dollars. For pick up of cash or cheque from a BPI branch, proceeds are in Pesos only. If you need to send a different currency, please contact us. Top

Can I cancel my transaction after the remittance has been sent?

It is very important to make sure you are sending the correct amount of money and your beneficiary details are correct. If you have sent money incorrectly and need to cancel the remittance, we will always do our best to stop the funds from being delivered. Once delivered, the money may not be recoverable. Top

Can I send personal messages to my beneficiary?

If you are sending cash or cheque to your beneficiary's home, you have the option of including a short message. To add this message you will need to use the Internet and access your card's details. Top

How many TECHNOCASH remittance cards can I have?

You can have as many TECHNOCASH remittance cards as you need. If you have many beneficiaries, you will be able to have a card for each one of them. If you need more than one card for a beneficiary, please let us know. Top

What happens if I lose my card?

If you lose your card and you need to send a remittance urgently, we can email a barcode for you to print off and use at Australia Post. If you are using Internet banking, simply continue using the same barcode reference as no card is needed if you are paying this way. There is a small fee for replacement cards. Top

Do I need my own bank account to send remittances?

You do not need a bank account to send remittances using your TECHNOCASH remittance card. You can scan your card at Australia Post and pay your remittance in cash over the counter. Although you don't need a bank account, you can also send your remittance from a bank account if you do have one. All you need to do is transfer funds to a Technocash bank account and use your card barcode or the last 10 digits of your card number as a reference. Top
